The adage, "To err is human, To forgive is divine" written by Alexander Pope in his essay on Criticism has been paraphrased as "A bad workman always blames his tools." or in modern parlance:
"To err is human - to blame it on the computer is even more so". Essentially this means that all error and risk (outside of naturally occurring events like earthquakes and weather) is caused by mankind and not by any inanimate device that has been created.
